3 Festive Non-Alcoholic Cocktail Recipes
There are many reasons to opt out of alcohol, like growing or feeding a small human. But it doesn't mean you have to miss out on holiday cocktails. We tapped mysha’s head of experience, Tiffany Azmouz, and her husband, Carlos Antonorsi, the co-creators of Brooklyn Cocktail Club, for a trio of flavorful zero-proof drink recipes that can be made at home. All recipes serve 1.
Belle Époque
Tart, fruity, and bubbly
2 oz Lyre’s London Dry Spirit
1 oz Everleaf Mountain
3/4 oz grenadine*
1/2 oz lemon juice
3 oz Lyre’s Classico Grande
Add all ingredients except Lyre’s Classico Grande to a shaker with ice and shake until chilled. Strain into a champagne flute and top with Lyre’s Classico Grande. Garnish with a citrus peel and enjoy.
*For grenadine, combine 1 500 ml bottle of pomegranate juice (like POM) with 3/4 cups sugar in a mason jar, and shake vigorously until sugar is dissolved. Add a pinch of salt, and if you have orange blossom water, 1/2 tsp of that too.
Fireside Hug
Warm, comforting, and smokey
1 oz Little Saints St. Mezcal
3/4 oz Dr Zero Zero AmarNo
1/2 tsp simple syrup
4 oz almond milk
Cinnamon, for garnish
Add all ingredients, except almond milk, to a small cup and stir to incorporate. Steam or froth the almond milk and pour into the mug, stirring briefly. Sprinkle cinnamon on top and serve.
Dark Magic
Boozy, bitter, and bracing
1 1/4 oz Monday Whiskey
3/4 oz Dr. Zero Zero AmarNo
1/2 oz Everleaf Forest Aperitif
Optional: 1/2 tsp vegetable Glycerin (for texture)
Add all ingredients into a mixing glass and stir with ice until chilled. Strain into a chilled coupe glass. Express an orange peel over the drink and enjoy.
