Joining Mysha

We focus on creating pods for future due dates so you can have support from day one. If you have already delivered and are based in NY (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Hamptons, Westchester, Catskills), NJ (Jersey City), CT, (Fairfield County), LA (East / West), or Miami, we’d love for you to join Mysha as a Local Member which will give you access to a local pod where you can meet Mysha moms at all different stages, all Mysha events, and additional perks.

We encourage you to join Mysha as early as four months prior to your delivery so you can access our resources for pregnancy and prepping for your delivery. While your primary pod will launch approximately one month before your due date, you get immediate access to the Mysha community, resource library and events upon sign-up.

If you are based in the New York City, Los Angeles, Miami or Austin area, we strongly recommend joining the Local Membership. These cities are set up to offer additional neighborhood pods and IRL events, which enhance your experience and help you create local friendships with Mysha moms in your “backyard.” All of your Mysha experiences and virtual events are included in the cost of this membership tier.
In addition to all the local neighborhoods in New York City, Los Angeles, Miami and Austin, we have pods for Westchester County (New York), the Hamptons (New York), the Catskills (New York), Fairfield County (Connecticut), and Jersey City (New Jersey). If you are between several cities, the premium membership will grant you access to as many pods as you need based on where you reside.
A Remote Membership will give you access to a virtual primary pod where you’ll be connected with up to 19 moms who will deliver around the same time as you. You’ll have access to all Mysha resources and specialty pods with topics like baby gear, nanny and babysitters, career, twin moms, and solo moms. You will receive invitations to all virtual events and IRL events when space allows. Local Members are given priority access for IRL events.

You will be placed in your primary pod approximately one month before delivery and will receive an email from our team with detailed instructions to join your pod in WhatsApp and attend your official pod meetup where you can meet the other moms in your pod. If you are a Local Member, you will be placed in your local neighborhood pod (Mysha moms in your neighborhood) upon signing up.

During the signup process, we gather information from you that allows us to place you in your pod(s) and ensure you have the best Mysha experience. After payment and completing the new member information form, you’ll receive a welcome email that includes access to the Mysha resource library, community chats, and event information. We encourage you to start using the Mysha resources, events, and community chats right away to help you navigate pregnancy and prepare for motherhood.
Your primary pod will launch within one month of your due date. Our team will get in touch with you via email with instructions.

Yes, if you are a Local Member, you will be placed in both your primary pod (based on due date) and your local neighborhood pod (based on location). Remote Members will only have access to your primary pod (based on due date).
If you get pregnant again during your membership, you will get access to an additional primary pod based on your new date.

Mysha offers two tiers of membership, depending on your needs. If you are in New York City, Los Angeles, or Miami we recommend joining the Local Membership, as these cities are currently set up for maximum IRL experiences. Check out our pricing for each membership level here.
Your annual membership fee automatically renews one year from the day you join.

We take our role as community builders very seriously. As part of that, our job is to create an environment where everyone’s psychological safety takes priority. As such, we can’t develop a safe space if people are coming in and out of the pods. When you commit to a pod, you are joining a group of other moms in a year-long (and beyond) postpartum journey. In order for us to do the best job supporting you, we need your yearly commitment.

We offer a high-touch experience with a focus on quality interactions and connections. Mysha isn’t a place to brag about your kids or fish for clients; it's your place to be vulnerable, ask for what you need, and be in a judgment-free zone with zero obligation or pressure.
Each pod is moderated to ensure the Mysha experience is supportive and valuable to you in your postpartum journey. We get to know each member intimately and help make strategic connections that will support you in motherhood and beyond. From passing along a Doona that we know someone in the community is no longer using to introducing you to your next nanny, we’re your ultimate connectors, saving you time and money.
The Mysha experience starts with a focus on your transition to motherhood and organically becomes a powerful network beyond motherhood when you need it. In the spirit of supporting the holistic you, Mysha offers members the opportunity to elevate their careers via our newsletter, founder chat and sharing your expertise with the Mysha community at our events.

We gather information from you to get to know you and ensure that we curate the pods in a way that is most valuable to you. The information you share with us is used internally by our team to craft the best community and experience for our members. We see ourselves as matchmakers and love to connect you personally with other moms and resources in our community that you can benefit from. We will only share your contact information with the moms in your pod, period.
Confidentiality and privacy are the first “rules of engagement” you will read about when you get your pod access link. This community rests on the agreement to respect each other’s privacy and this philosophy carries over to Mysha’s company operations.
We will never share your email address with any brand partners. There will be occasions when brands would like to gift our members products. In those instances, we will ask permission to share your address if you want to receive the gift.

Your friend will receive your gift membership with an email welcoming them to Mysha and providing them with all the information they need to make the most of their Mysha membership. Their primary pod will generally launch within one month of their expected delivery month, and they will get access to the Mysha resource library, community chat, and events after completing the new member information form.
The Pods

You will be placed in a primary pod with mothers who are delivering in the same month or general time frame as you, giving you access to an intimate group of mothers going through similar stages and transitions.
The local neighborhood pods (Tribeca, Dumbo, UWS, East & West L.A., etc.) are available if you join the Local Membership and are curated by the address you provide in your new member sign-up form.

A primary pod will generally have 20 members or less, all delivering around the same month.

We are currently using WhatsApp as the main platform for our members to connect with their primary pods and specialty pod community chats.

If you would like to report any concerns with behavior in your pod, please email us at hello@myshapods.com. Our goal is to maintain a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all our members.

If the majority of your primary pod doesn’t renew, we will re-home the remaining members into new praimry pods with women at the same stage of motherhood. We will facilitate the pod for optimal connection. A benefit of a new primary pod is an expanded network of inspiring modern moms.

While we hope you stay, if you don't renew your membership, you will be removed from your primary pod and the specialty pods in WhatsApp one year after your primary pod’s launch date. Each pod is a system of give and take, and we want to ensure the best outcomes for all by having an engaged pod experience.
Events

If you are a Local Member, you will receive priority access to all events (IRL and virtual) with the price of admission included in your annual membership fee. Local Members receive a unique code to use when registering for events.
If you are a Remote Member, you are invited to all Mysha virtual events. Virtual events have a minimal registration fee in order to attend.

The majority of Mysha-hosted events and experiences are for moms only, as our focus is on the mother’s experience and allowing her time to connect to herself and the community. We ask that you arrange childcare if you can, but we allow pre-crawl babies at morning events only.
Some Mysha hosted events will be “mommy + me” type of events. We will communicate in advance so you can plan accordingly.
Local Members frequently host community events and get-togethers for moms and babies throughout the year. These events are not officially hosted by Mysha, though our team provides some support in getting them set up and communication with the community.

Like our pods, we curate events that we believe will bring you the most value. We know your time is precious, and as such, will invite you to those experiences that are most beneficial based on your stage of motherhood and/or location.

If you would like to bring a friend or potential Mysha mom to an event as a guest, please email us at hello@myshapods.com and we will see if we can accommodate the request. Our priority will always be Mysha members.
Billing

Your membership automatically renews on a yearly basis (one year after your original signup date). You can always access your next billing date and account information by logging into your account on our website.

You can update your billing information by logging into your account and updating your profile on our website.

You can cancel your membership by logging into your account and selecting cancel subscription. Because memberships are paid in full at sign-up, you will have access to your pod and Mysha resources for a full year following the launch date of your primary pod.

We currently do not issue refunds. However, if you have extenuating circumstances, please email us at hello@myshapods.com, and we will see what we can do. For any cancellations or membership transfers after your renewal, there is a $50 admin fee.
Mysha Products, Discounts, and Resources

We hope that you share Mysha with your expecting friends who could benefit from the full experience of joining the Mysha community. We love your word-of-mouth referrals and have a member referral program to say thank you for spreading the word. You can sign up for a rewards account here.
With that said, our mission is to help soften the transition to motherhood and if that means taking a smaller hit on the wallet, we’re fine with you sharing our discount codes for our favorite brands.
